Importing Legacy Characters

Version 1.1.0 introduces breaking changes with the previous release (version 1.0.7).

BEFORE you install version 1.1.0: be sure to export all the characters that you may want to use with version 1.1.0 and later using the ‘Export Character’ button at the top of the character's sheet. Do this using version 1.0.7. I also strongly suggest you take screenshots of both pages of the character sheet in case the import fails.

You don’t need to export the pre-generated characters, as these will be automatically recreated by version 1.1.0.

Once you’ve exported all characters in .json files, you can then upgrade to version 1.1.0.

Once you've upgraded to version 1.1.0, follow these steps:

  1. Press control () and from the File menu, select Import Legacy Character, this will show this window.

Now click the Import button and select a character's exported file. If it is successful the character will simply appear in the sidebar, if it fails a dialog will appear. Repeat with every character file you exported.

Once you're done click the Close button to dismiss the window.

As stated in the importer window, this might work with character exported with version prior to 1.0.7 but it is unsure.

  1. Shèk-Pvâr characters that are eligible for a Talent Bonus effect should delete the affected spell from their character and add them back. Version 1.1.0 now supports Talent Bonus effects but the information necessary for this was not in previous spells and the importer, while converting the spells, does not add the required information. Simply delete and add back any affected spell. See the Shèk-Pvâr documentation for more information.
